What the Band Thought ... A Review written by the Artistes themselves giving an insight into what it's like to arrive The Kiln
"...what a delightful place to play and a delightful audience to play to."
"...So how did we feel? Nervous, I guess, but also we were really ready to put our music in front of an audience because you can rehearse and rehearse and rehearse, but until you've actually performed in front of a paying audience, you're never quite sure whether the band's going to gel and the music's going to fly. "
What the Doorman Thought ... A Review written from behind the scenes
"I came expecting an Artisan+,mainly because I am more familiar with their work than that of Pint & Dale and Ben Walker. How foolish am I?..."
What the Host thought ... A Review written by Neil Dalton
"...wrapt in a musical experience so luxurious, so compelling and so wonderful that you’d have willingly signed over the deeds of your house just to make the song last a few moments longer. They didn’t so much sing songs as cast spells."

Support Kris Spencer and Lucy Ward. Host Neil Dalton.
"If you have a musical bone in your body then you will warm to Steve Tilston. He appeals to anyone with a musical sensibility, anyone with a leaning towards good acoustic music, well crafted songs, beautiful guitar arrangements, tasteful playing and singing."

4th November 2006 KATHRYN ROBERTS & SEAN LAKEMAN
Support Bob Lines. Host Neil Dalton.
Kathryn Roberts... "Her pure, clean, English contralto voice is at ease with those very English folk tales, making them sound like they could have been written last week, somehow lending them relevance, as if The Lusty Smith, Sir Arthur or The Buxom Lass could speak directly to a young woman’s experience now."
Sean Lakeman... "He’s a master of that guitar playing where the guitar is a form of percussion: where the guitar takes its place in a jig and reel band, where timing is everything, and the slap and punch of the guitar holds everything together while a fiddle or pipe punctuates the whole thing, rattling out the tune. The sort of playing when the whole band locks you in a rhythm, hypnotic, mesmeric and then stops, leaving a moment of vertigo inducing silence before heading off, timing spot on, in another wild country dance band direction."
Kathryn Robert's & Sean Lakeman at The Kiln 4th Nov 2006.
